The map provided here is based on the postcode of the venue.
Royal mail are very good at allocating postcodes to buildings
but much less good at lakes and rivers. Therefore where a
venue does not really have a postcode I have tried to find a
postcode that is as close as possible to the venue. This might
be that of a nearby hotel or even the village post office. You
should therefore always ensure you have proper directions
for the last half-mile or so to the venue.

Firstly, neithther Stu, Dan or Andrew Lines have no connections with Shatterford, other than being satisfied customers. Its interesting to note that all the detrimental and insulting reviews are made by people unwilling to identify themselves. I personally believe that pictures speak louder than words, so would suggest you have a look at the Shatterford website and see for yourself. Wayne McTaggart from Wordsley fishes here nearly every week and has never blanked. Again, he has no connections with the site, other than as a customer. As for personal insults about the staff, please bring these to the attention of the management at the time or they are not worth the paper they are written on!

I paid   :  £15 + £3 per lb
Stayed :  All day if you wish
Best fly:  Montanas & Hares Ears
Tactics :  skill and patience

We are experienced match anglers but new to fly fishing, fished for two and a half hours and had 6 fish returned 4 took two home, superb condition in looked after surroundings. If you want a good day with helpful staff this is the place, as for comments below all we can say is learn how to fish you muppets!!!!! Stu and Dan.

I fish this lake regulary and have agood catch average, only blanking 2 or 3 times out of 20+ visits. The staff are friendly and heplful, the fish are around 1.25lb upto 3lb but I beleive there are bigger ones in. The surroundings are beautiful and the lake seems under used so you can fish undisturbed.

bad value for money. limited fish. Fly fishing is an afterthought at this coarse fishery, so not worth it. Had one mincey rainbow which fought like it was dead.

Unfriendly staff, poor fishing. Went along one late summers afternoon after work with two friends, we were asked to leave at 7.30pm after paying £10 for 2 hours fishing! Then when we packed away our tackle we went to leave & were locked-in by the owner & told "its not nice to be kept waiting is it"!... childish behaviour, completely unnecessary.
